Adam and Eve were the first human beings to struggle with discontentment. God already provided all that they needed but He forbid them of just one thing. And that one thing "to be like God" soon became what their "hearts desired" after Satan deceived them. But they were already complete and whole. The devil made them feel like they needed something more, that what they had wasnt enough. So he enticed them to disobey God in the pursuit of wanting to be like God. They were discontent with what they already had, which was already enough. They were living in paradise, amongst God in the garden of Eden and they had one another to experience it with. Seriously, what more could they have asked for? But that's what the devil will do, he will convince you that there is always more to be had, but sometimes the "more" requires us to be disobedient to get and keep it.
