"Why are you so afraid?"

The question: "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Mark 4:40  The answer" "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." Psalms 56:3 Put your trust in God. Trust Him with your life, He created it.  Surely He knows what He is doing.  Surely He can handle it.  Surely He can take care of you.

The Real Purpose Driven Life

"I want to know what's my purpose, why am I here?" "What am I being called to do?" Have you ever asked yourself this? We all have at one point or another. We are wired to want to live a purposeful life. We are wired to want to live a satisfying life. But as Believers we are called to live a set-apart life. Not to merely seek after our ambitions but to seek after Christ. Before Christ we wonder what we need to do to make our lives better, but in Christ we should be focused on what we could do to bring glory to God. We exist for God. To bring Him glory and honor and to fulfill His purpose. I dont know about you all, but this gives me rest and peace when anxiety creeps on me. I always thought that I had to do some magnificent thing to bring God glory but really it can simply be me sharing the Gospel with a coworker or donating to a charity or volunteering on a Saturday morning at a charity or spending time with those who are hurting or even just praying for the...

Struggling with discontentment?

Adam and Eve were the first human beings to struggle with discontentment. God already provided all that they needed but He forbid them of just one thing. And that one thing "to be like God" soon became what their "hearts desired" after Satan deceived them. But they were already complete and whole. The devil made them feel like they needed something more, that what they had wasnt enough. So he enticed them to disobey God in the pursuit of wanting to be like God. They were discontent with what they already had, which was already enough. They were living in paradise, amongst God in the garden of Eden and they had one another to experience it with. Seriously, what more could they have asked for? But that's what the devil will do, he will convince you that there is always more to be had, but sometimes the "more" requires us to be disobedient to get and keep it. Discontentment can easily lead to sin, guard your heart diligently and seek the Lord for...

Grace wins ♡

I'm not use to being loved without condition without feeling the need to work for it. I've always thought that I needed to earn love, work towards it or manipulate my way into getting it. I've always been a "good" girl, try hard, overextend myself type of person to gain the approval and validation from those I love and care about. This is why grace was and still is a hard concept for me to grasps. And in all of my relationships be it family, friendships or dating I "overdo", overanalyze and overthink. This is toxic. I've messed up, ended and even destroyed a lot of potentially good relationships prematurely. One in particular really breaks my heart and I'm praying that God will restore or atleast help me learn from it so that I wont continue to make the same mistake. The thing about God revealing your heart and the brokenness thereof is that His grace finds a way into the cracks and heals us from our past and current strongholds. He is able ...

God is in the waiting.

Isn't waiting such a hard lesson to learn? Well take courage. He's in the waiting. I pray that the lyrics to one of my most favorite songs in this season below will encourage your heart to keep waiting well <3 "Take Courage" - Bethel Music & Kristene DiMarco Slow down, take time Breath in He said He'd reveal what's to come The thoughts in His mind Always higher than mine He'll reveal all to come Take courage my heart Stay steadfast my soul He's in the waiting He's in the waiting Hold onto your hope As your triumph unfolds He's never failing He's never failing Sing praise my soul Find strength in joy Let His Words lead you on Do not forget His great faithfulness He'll finish all He's begun So take courage my heart Stay steadfast my soul He's in the waiting He's in the waiting Hold onto your hope As your triumph unfolds He's never failing He's never failing Take courage my hear...

Daily Devotion: Validation.

We all seek to feel validated. Unfortunately we seek validation from people and things that are outside of God's will, which in most cases leave us feeling less important, less loved, and less adequate. Isn't it ironic how we seek to feel important by imperfect people and tangible things when the God of the universe, creator of all things has already affirmed us. We lack nothing inside of His will. We are loved, called, chosen and redeemed. The craziest thing is that even with our imperfections and shortcomings He still loves us. So why do we continue to thirst for the approval and likes of men? You are loved. Rest in this.
